Warrawee, from an Aboriginal word meaning rest a while, is a tightly held residential enclave featuring magnificent homes. Prominent tree lined streets include Pibrac Avenue, Heydon Avenue, Bangalla Road, Warrawee Avenue and Chilton Parade. Although only 1km from Wahroonga, the suburb has a railway station which was built in 1900 and Warrawee Public School.
